Arthur Wolf, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Starks, Louisiana with visitation prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM. Arthur was born on Tuesday, April 2, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Josephine Lee (Maier) and Arthur John Wolf. He and his family were lifelong residents of Cincinnati, Ohio until he joined the Navy and began to move around the world. For 51 years, Arthur was married to his wife, Carolyn Wolf, and together they raised a beautiful daughter, Melissa. Arthur served 20 years in the United States Navy, until his retirement in 1978. He also enjoyed a career with Gulf States Utilities (Entergy) in Bridge City, Texas until his retirement in 1994. Arthur had a very strong, but kind, personality and he never ever met a stranger. He was a very religious man who had an unwavering faith in God. Arthur was a husband, dad , brother, grandfather and friend, who will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Preceding Arthur in death are his parents, Arthur and Josephine Wolf. Those left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Wolf; sister, Sharon Edmonson; daughter, Melissa Jackson and husband Jeff; two grandsons, Jake and Matt Jackson; brother-in-law, Homer Hyatt and wife Lorraine; sister-in-law, Linda Richard and husband Rick; brothers-in-law, Prentice and Mike, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
