Danial Ray Abrego, 38, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Westlake, Louisiana.

Danial was born on Saturday, April 7, 1979, in Galveston, Texas, to his mother Norma Abrego Tejeda. His stepdad was Michael Matthews of Canada. He was a man of Christian faith and lived most of his life in Orange, Texas, before recently moving to Houston. Danial was a kind and soft spoken man, who worked very hard as the owner of his business, ABR Construction. When he wasn’t working, Danial enjoyed fishing with his son, Devin, and spending time with his family. Danial loved his dog Alex. He was a jokester and especially loved to pick on his cousin Keleigh. Danial was a loving father, whose children were everything to him. Danial also worshiped his Maw maw Dorothy, who he called his ‘Sugar Girl’, and who made his favorite pinto beans, and fried chicken. Danial was a son, father, fiancé, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.

Those who will cherish Danial’s memory most is his mother, Norma Abrego Tejeda, of Orange, Texas; beloved fiancé, Antonia Trejo, of Houston, Texas; sons, Jordaan, Vaydon, Joel, Marqus, and Devon; daughters Astashia and Emma; sister Elizabeth Matthews Williamson, of Orange, Texas, her children Cameron, Christian, and Caitlyn; grandchild, Josie Abrego; and numerous members of extended family and friends.

Services for Danial's family, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, are to be held privately.

Services for the public will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at the Pinehurst Pentecostal Church, in Pinehurst, Texas.
