Denise Vondine Robinson, age 52, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Beaumont, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at In His Steps Church, 2656 McArthur Dr. Orange, TX (behind Parker Lumber)
Denise was born on September 4, 1964 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Joan Kay Schaffer Johnson and Ronald Eugene Johnson. She was raised in Mississippi and had been a resident of the southeast Texas area for the past fifteen years. She was the founder of the Texas Prison Book Store Ministry. Denise and her husband Bill had four wonderful children that they raised together. She was a special person, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, friend and mentor that will be missed by so many.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents; Joan Kay Collins and step-father Jack and Ronald Eugene Johnson. One brother, Butch Johnson.
Survivors include her husband Bill Robinson of Orange, TX. Two sons, David Jack Robinson and his wife Amy of Orange, TX and William Joseph Robinson of Orange, TX. Two daughters, Twyla Marie Robinson of Orange, TX and Brianna Kay Robinson of Orange, TX. One brother Scott Alan Johnson of Omaha, NE. Eight grandchildren; Sarah Robinson, Eli Robinson, Zachary Schexnider, Jordan Schexnider, Alexus Schexnider, William Kadon Robinson, Lauren LaCour and Dillon LaCour. Step-mother, Veda Johnson and sister-in-law and friend, Barbara Wilkerson and family.  As well as her dear friends and life sisters,  Annette Malcolm and Linda Lemoine.
