Donna Sweeney, age 60 of Huffman, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Lafayette, Louisiana surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Donna was born on February 18, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas. She was a loving mother of five children and ten grandchildren. Donna enjoyed singing and dancing with her family and special trips to the gator farm.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband Dan Sweeney and parents, Emma Jane Fuller and Cyril James Holder. Two brothers, Bubba Holder and Raymond Holder.
Survivors include her son, Brian Holder of Duson, LA, four daughters; Jamie Holder of Duson, LA, Nicole Holder and her husband Johnathan of Duson, LA, Kristin West and her husband Leonard of Orange, TX and RaeDonna Mettey and her husband Lee of Orange, TX. Two sisters, Sandra Whitten of Huffman, TX and Sondra Sweeney of Huffman, TX. Ten grandchildren; Meghan Holder, Brianna Holder, Caleb Holder, Sheyanne Holder, Alexis Stotland, Kaitlyn West, Colton West, Emma Mettey, Justin Mettey and Abby Mettey.
