As both a colleague and fellow equestrian I will miss Al. I knew him best from riding with him, at his place and Pinehill. We rode together in Dressage and as Eventers. We discussed veterinary medicine and traded ideas. I became the Beaumont Shelter Veterinarian last year and try to save as many animals as I can, I read about his wish to donate to his shelter and realized we share this love for innocents as well. Al will remain in my heart and memory as a kindred soul, he will be deeply missed. Condolences to all equestrians, clients, friends, loved ones, and all his patients that will miss his touch and compassion.

Ken has known Albert many many years and we are both just heart broken that he is gone. I've had the pleasure of seeing him regularly bringing in my dogs for the last 10 years and just loved the kindness in him toward me and my pets. He never failed in giving me good advice. Doc you were our vet for 8 years. You always had a smile on your face and always asked how Abby was. We are going to miss your presence when we bring Haylea in for her exams.
Thanks doc for giving my fur babies the love and care you did !

Al and I both moved to the SETX area within a year of each other. He and I were two of the 24 veterinarians that started the Southeast Texas Animal Emergency Clinic. That joint venture brought together a family of veterinarians in this area, all willing to help each other out. Many of his colleagues stepped up to work at his clinic when he was going through his cancer treatments. I and I am sure we are all saddened by his passing. If there is anything I can do to help out at the clinic, I am free on most Friday afternoons. Dena.

Our deepest sympathy to the Pugh family, including the staff at Bridge City Animal Hospital. Dr. Pugh has taken care of all our pets as well as our parents pets since the late 70's. He was always was there when we needed him most, no matter what pet was sick, even through hurricane evacuation he was helping! We will miss him, as Brendi will too. May God Bless him and his family and staff.

Very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man. I learned a great deal from him while helping at the hospital in high school. He was so very kind not only to the people around him, but the animals as well. He will surely be missed by so many. Our thoughts are with your family during this difficult time.
