Edna M. (Turner) Davis, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at Dorman Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017; Brother Tony Story officiating.  Rite of Committal and Interment will be held immediately following funeral service at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Dorman Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2017.

Edna was born on Thursday, April 16, 1936, in Carmona, Texas, to the late Julia (Linton) and Edgar Turner.  In 1956, Edna moved from Willis, Texas, with her husband to Orange, Texas, where her husband began working at the shipyard.  Edna and her husband of 46 years, Robert Lee Davis, remained in Orange, to raise their beautiful family. Edna was a Christian woman of the Baptist faith and had a heart of gold.  She was very compassionate and someone who never met a stranger.  When she was able, Edna enjoyed working in her garden and watching the birds fly around her flowers.  Edna was a loving woman who will be missed by all those who knew her.

Preceding Edna in death is her loving husband, Robert; parents, Julia and Edgar Turner; sister, Florence Turner; and brothers, Vernon Turner, Moody Turner, Lester Turner, and Sam Turner.
 

Those who will cherish her memory most are her daughters, Debbie Prosperie and Lisa Chatelain; brothers, James Turner, John Turner, and Carl Turner; grandchildren, Robert, Daniel, Brian, Jennifer, and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Will, Eli, Santos, Akilles, Diego, Xavier, Alyssa, Walker, Colton, Keller, and AJ.
