Elizabeth Ann Hart Delaughter, age 70 of Weatherford, Texas, left this world at 11:40 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Ann was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi on October 3, 1947. She graduated Woodlawn High school in Baton Rouge in 1965. Ann married Michael Delaughter at Central Baptist Church in Baton Rouge on July 30, 1964.

Ann worked at the social security office to support the two while Mike completed college. Soon after Ann's family grew to three with the arrival of Craig in Jackson, Alabama in 1970. Jeff showed up two and a half years later in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1972. Ann and Mike were baptized the same night at Community Bible Church in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1975. On July 5, 1978 Ann and her family moved to Orange, Texas where she would spend the next 39 years.

Ann worked diligently in the home while the boys were young. Once they were older, Ann worked as a bus driver and teacher's aide in special education. Ann hosted vacation bible schools in her neighborhood, taught Sunday school and was an active member at Westwood Bible Church in Beaumont and then First Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas.

Ann was passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to anyone she encountered, and even inside prison walls.

Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years Mike Delaughter of Weatherford, TX; sons, Craig (Carol) Delaughter of Fort Worth, TX and Jeff (Karina) Delaughter of Milwaukee, WI; grandson Pierce Delaughter of Mandeville, LA; her mother Penny Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, brothers; Charlie (Delores) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Tommy (Becky) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Billy John Hart (deceased), Ken (Cindy) Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS, Gene Hart of Bogue Chitto, MS and sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Crosby of Smithdale, MS. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Deweyville with Rev. Damon M. Bickham and Rev. Brad Bickham officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Deweyville under the direction of Dorman Funeral.

Services will also be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Riverwood Funeral Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi.
