Ernest Lee Brown, age 56 of Vidor, Texas, passed away in Orange, Texas on Thursday, April 28, 2016. A gathering of family and friends to honor Ernest's life will be held at his home, 255 Howell St. Vidor, Texas at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Ernest was born in Pensacola, Florida on January 12, 1960 to the late Acy Lee Brown and Miriam Ann Malagarie. He had worked for many years as a carpenter and roofer in the Orange county area. He loved wood working and making bird houses.  He enjoyed cooking, playing candy crush, drinking beer and watching old westerns.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Victor Brown.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his long time companion Cindy Bertrand of Vidor, Texas, his son, Chris Brown of Orange, Texas and daughter Leslie Brown of Orange, Texas. Step-son Dylan Bertrand and Brandi Taylor of Vidor, Texas and a step daughter, Amanda Booksh and her husband James of Vidor, Texas. One brother, Casey Brown of Orange, Texas and one sister Janie Smith of Orange, Texas. Four grandchildren; Damian Haines, Caleb Janise, Jordan Brown and Jaden Brown. Two step grandchildren; Raelynn Bertrand and Gabriel Booksh.
