Gary Dean Rumby, age 53 of Orange passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Pinehurst Nursing Home in Orange, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM On Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bickham officiating. Interment will follow at Barrow Family Cemetery in Fields, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2016 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Gary was born on May 25, 1962 in Houston, Texas to William Russell and Beatrice Barrow Rumby. He had been a long time resident of Orange, Texas and worked with Gulf States Power Plant in Bridge City, Texas. Gary loved music and playing his guitar.

Survivors include parents, Beatrice and William Rumby. One brother, Russell Rumby and Joyce Swan of Hillister, TX and two sisters, Carol Rowley and her husband Jack of Hemphill, TX and Alexis Rumby and Darrin Zisler of Yale, MI. As well as seven nieces and nephews; Tana White and husband Nicky of Moss Bluff, LA, De'ann Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA, Max Holtzclaw of Moss Bluff, LA, Chans Miller of Orange, TX, Johnai Miller of Lake Charles, LA, Casie Clennon and her husband Devin of League City, TX and Blake Boudreaux of Lake Charles, LA.
