Jack Dempsey Bland, age 87 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Orange. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Bland Cemetery under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Jack was born in Orangefield, Texas on May 10, 1929 to Jefferson and Lancie Bland. He served honorably in the United States Army and was discharged in 1947. He was self employed as the owner of Bland's nursery / tree service and Bland's radiator /air conditioning service.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Gene Tunney Bland and brothers, Jefferson "Bo" Bland and JP Bland. Five sisters; Katherine Williams, Willie Mae Peet, Ozie Ellen Frillou, Ruth Wilkerson and Chummie Joshlin.

Jack is survived by his children; Randy Bland, Patti Green and husband Larry and Mark Bland. The mother of his children, Gwendolyn Bland and one sister-in-law Georgia Bland. As well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be his loving grandchildren, Brad Bland, Amy Bland, Jason Green, Chase Green, Mathew Bland and Kade Bland.
