James Raymer, Sr. Obituary

James Raymer, Sr. age 63 of Orange, Texas, passed away in Port Arthur, Texas on Sunday, April 15, 2018. A memorial service to celebrate James's life will be at Oakgrove Tabernacle in Hartburg with Rev. Stephen Hudnall officiating on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Family and friends will gather two hours prior to the service at the church. Dorman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

James was born in Orange, Texas on August 12, 1954 to Mary Jeanette Vincent Raymer and James Clifford Raymer. He graduated from West Orange-Stark High School and went on to get a degree in drafting from Lamar University. He worked for many years as a welder for American Bridge before his health declined. James enjoyed playing darts and Texas Hold'em with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending countless hours playing video games.

James is precede in death by his wife, Margaret "Peggy” Raymer, his mother Mary Jeanette Raymer, brother Clifford Raymer and brother-in-law Mark Gardner.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, James Clifford Raymer of Orange, TX,  children; James Ray Raymer, Jr. and his wife Ruby of Vinton, LA, Jason Raymer of Orange, TX, Adreane McKinnon and her husband Torry of Orange, TX, and Mary Raymer and her husband Michael Hoffpauir of Orange, TX. Three brothers; Donald Raymer and his wife Tonya of Orange, TX, Robert Raymer and his wife Susie of Orange, TX and Bruce Raymer and his wife Jennifer. Two sisters, Janet Sedoruk and her husband, Mike, of Orange, TX and Carolyn Gardner of Orange and a sister-in-law Marion Raymer of Orange, TX. Six grandchildren; Shelby Hudnall, Tyler Head, Katelyn Raymer, Austin Raymer, Alex Hoffpauir and Kristopher Raymer. Three great grandchildren; Mary Jane Murray, Bonnie Murray and Ellora Delano. As well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
