James (J.E.) Elias Arnold, Jr., age 87 of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Port Arthur, Texas. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3:00 PM at Victoria Cemetery outside of Many, Louisiana.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Dorman Funeral Home.

J.E. was born in Columbus, Louisiana on December 19, 1929 to Callie Savell Arnold and James Elias Arnold, Sr. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was retired after 32 years with Texaco as a rigger. J.E. had a unique gift of being a skilled handyman, whether it was a lawn mower, car or something made of wood...he could fix it. He always enjoyed fishing, shrimping and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Callie Arnold, Sr.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 59 years, Betty Arnold of Bridge City. Two sons, James Keith Arnold of Dallas, TX and Buford Arnold and his wife Karen of Pennsylvania.  One daughter, Lesha Sneed and her husband Robert of Bridge City, TX. Four grandchildren; Candace Plessala of Bridge City, TX, Robert Sneed, Jr. and his wife Jordan of Bridge City, TX, Justin Arnold of Pennsylvania and Caitlyn Costalas and her husband Stephen of Pennsylvania. Two great granddaughters, Karalina Plessala and Kennadie Plessala.

Pallbearers will be Robert Sneed, Justin Arnold, James Keith Arnold, Buford Arnold, Candace Plessala and Jerod Guess.
