Norma Louise (LaSalle) Flanagan, 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at The Meadows, in Orange, Texas.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home; Deacon Melvin Payne of St. Mary Catholic Church officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home.

Norma was born on Sunday, May 19, 1935, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Belzire (Monroe) LaSalle and Charles LaSalle and was the youngest of 15 children.  She was a woman with an unwavering faith and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Norma was married to her loving husband, Homer Flanagan, for 49 years and they remained a devoted and loving couple until his passing in 1993.  In 2000, Norma met her loving fiancé, Thomas Maberry, and remained by his side until his passing in 2015.  Norma was a very hard working woman who worked for many years, serving the customers at Elmer’s.  In her spare time, Norma enjoyed times when she could go dancing.  She loved her family and friends, and was close to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Flanagan; fiancé, Thomas Maberry; brothers; and sisters.

Those who will cherish her memory most are her niece, caretaker, and dearest friend, Madelyn Thibodeaux, of Bridge City, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, and extended family; and her many friends.
