Patricia Jo Huselton Greer,  age 72 of Orange, Texas, crossed over into her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Bickham officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Patricia was born in Orange, Texas on August 14, 1944 to Jeanette Miller Huselton and James Huselton and had been a lifelong resident of the Orange community. She graduated from Little Cypress High School in 1962 and then married Billy Greer and started building a family.  Patricia retired from Sabine Federal Credit Union after 30 dedicated years as a loan officer.  She loved her job and her many friends and co-workers that she considered “family”.  Patricia enjoyed oil painting  in her early years, but her greatest role that she embraced in this life was that of being “Nana” to her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Her home was a place of great joy and happiness, and “No” was a word that was very rarely heard from Nana.  Her grandchildren each thought that they were her favorite because she made them feel as if they were each very special to her.  Nana supported her grandkids in all their endeavors, attending games, pageants, concerts, and competitions.  She was always encouraging and showing her love through countless ways, including her bunny cakes, 5 layer desserts, ginger cake with lemon sauce and her famous homemade biscuits and waffles.  Nana was also a member of Winfree Baptist Church, where she had many friends that she loved dearly.  Nana fought a brave fight against the cancer that took her life, and left this world with dignity, grace, and a strong, joyful faith in the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William L. Greer, Sr. and her parents.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Bill Greer and his wife Cathie of Lufkin, TX and Jamey Greer and his wife Christy of Chester, TX. Two brothers, James Huselton and his wife Edna of Orange, TX and Charles Huselton and his wife Justine of Richmond, TX. Two sisters, Betty Dean and her husband Ricky of Cleveland, TX and Judy Freeman and her husband Steve of Orange, TX. AS well as seven grandchildren; Cody Greer , Jacob and wife Edith Greer , Jayce Greer, Joey Greer, Caleb Greer, Jared Greer and Cayla Greer, and one great grandchild Kara Greer. 

 We will see you with the great heavenly host; we love you Nana.
