Paul was born on Friday, February 18, 1955, in Port Arthur, Texas to Nancy Dell (Putman) and Ellis Joseph Malin, JR. He had been a lifelong resident of Mauriceville, Texas after moving there in 1989. Paul was the owner of "Paul's Seafood", located on highway 12 between Mauriceville and Vidor, Texas. It's been said that Paul's Seafood Restaurant is one of the best places to go in the area if you're wanting delicious home cooked food. The restaurant has been family owned and operated for the past 12 years and has plans of continuing business in honor of Paul. Paul Malin, SR. was a many of many talents. He was very outgoing and loved everyone, as everyone loved Paul in return. He would give the shirt off his back or the last dollar he had in his pocket to anyone in need. Paul was very adventurous and loved to travel, as he made it a point to mark many places off of his list during his lifetime. He loved many outdoor activities including, scuba diving, riding his horses and all water sport activities. Paul always knew how to get the job done, no matter what the goal. He was known to be a tad bit stubborn at times as well as confident and convinced in his own self, but that was just Paul. He loved to dance anywhere and everywhere and never cared who was watching. He would often take Dewanda by the hand and just dance around the kitchen to whatever was on the radio. Paul was a believer in the Lord and never lost sight of the important things in life.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Nancy (Putman) and Ellis Malin, JR. Two brothers, Larry Malin and Glenn Carter; grandchild, Kagen Ray Malin.
