Richard Earl Kirkpatrick, age 72 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Family Worship Center, 2300 41st Street Orange, TX 77630 with Pastor Tony Story officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service at the church. Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 6, 1945 to Freda Earline Gilchrist Kirkpatrick and James Richard Kirkpatrick. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Big 6 Drilling Company after spending his working career in the oilfield. Richard loved spending time with family and friends fishing and watching old western movies.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Willie Mae Kirkpatrick.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Ann Coleman and her husband Rick of Lake Charles, LA. A brother, Jimmy Carroll Kirkpatrick and his wife Charlotte of Orange, TX and a sister, Iva Jo Hayes and her husband Aubrey of Brandon, MS. He was a wonderful "Pawpaw" to his three grandchildren; Kara Renee Hargrave and her husband Lucas of Orange, TX, Emily Annay Coleman of Beaumont, TX and Dakota Wayne Hall of Silsbee, TX.  Three great grandchildren; Breahna Mae Hargrave, Ezekiel David Hargrave and Dana Michelle Hargrave.
