Steven F. Austin Alford, age 29 of Orange, Texas passed away at his home on Thursday, May 25, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home chapel with Brother Burt Stigen officiating.

Steven was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on April 22, 1988 to Donna Gabriel Alford and Gary Alford. He graduated from LCM and Lamar University with an associated degree. Steven was a  volunteer for the LCM Fire Department and was a certified EMT. He worked with Lucite Refinery as process operator. Steven was quite the history buff and wanted to pursue a teaching degree from the University of Houston in the fall.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Donna Alford of Orange, TX. One brother, Tony Alford and his wife Jami of Orange, TX and a sister Trina Alford and Eric Roden of Emory, TX. One niece Maddie Roden and one nephew John Roden. Aunt, Billie Bowles of LaPorte, TX and uncles Clyde Gabriel and his wife Georgia of Baytown, TX and Curtis Gabriel of LaPorte, TX. As well as numerous cousins and many close friends.
