Thomas Wayne Garrett, age 79 of Orange, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Colony Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Roe officiating.

Wayne was born in Lufkin, Texas to Malcolm Wayne Garrett and Allie  Howard. He loved the outdoors and being able to cut the grass and working with his hands. He also enjoyed working on cars and was a huge CB radio operator.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Sam Garrett, sister Shirley Lee Freeman, grandchildren; Ashley Garrett and Dana Scott, great grandchildren; Caleb Michael Adams, Jr. and Christy Lopez.

Survivors include his companion Cynthia "Cindy" Thibodeaux of Orange, TX. Children; Patsy McCarver, Beth Garrett, Joey Thibodeaux, Missy Thibodeaux  all of Orange, TX. Two brothers; Marvin Garrett of Orange, TX and David Garrett of Boise City, OK and a sister, Louise Risinger of Gist, TX. Grandchildren; Amber Garrett, Charles Lee McCarver, III, Daniel Garrett, Kirk McCarver and his wife Jessica, Chelsea LeJeune-Admans, Corey McCarver, Hayden Thibodeaux and Kayden Thibodeaux. Great grandchildren;  Zachary Garrett, Bayleigh Garrett, Axeton Thibodeaux, Braxton Wayne McCarver, Channing Adams, Christina Lopez and Brittany Lopez.
