Tommy Darrell Womack, 82, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas.  A graveside service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at Big Sandy Cemetery on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 2:00 PM; Reverend Damon Bickham officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be at Dorman Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Tommy was born on Saturday, June 16, 1934, in LIvingston, Texas, to the late Ivor (Humble) and Newton McRade Womack.  He graduated from Stark High School in 1953, and attended Lamar University.  He married Faye Rhodes on May 31, 1957, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage.  They resided in Deweyville, Texas, from 1968 to present.  He was an electrician by trade, and a member of IBEW Local 479.  Tommy loved spending time with family and friends, but was especially happy when he was fishing.

Those preceding Tommy in death are his parents, Ivor and McRade Womack; wife, Myrtle Faye Womack; and brother, Lenord Womack and his wife Peggy.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Shannon Carroll and husband Richard; son Stephen Womack and wife Kelli; sisters Clarrell Williams, Doris Wallace, Carla Thomson, Kay Farned and husband Gordon; brother Bruce Womack and wife Cindy; grandchildren Logan Womack, Seth Womack, and Ian Carroll.  There are also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Honoring Tommy as Pallbearers are Randy Womack, Logan Womack, Seth Womack, Cavan Womack, John Paul Williams, and Norman Williams; Honorary Pallbearer Ian Carroll.
