Walter Babineaux Obituary

Walter Joseph Babineaux, age 85, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February20, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Walter was born on Wednesday, February 1, 1933, in Hayes, Louisiana to parents, Lillia (Rogers) and Hiram Babineaux. He had been a resident of Orange, Texas for 52 years, after moving from Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was of the Catholic Religion and was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Bridge City, Texas. Walter found the love of his life when he met Darelene (Bale). They were married for 19 blissful years. Walter was a very caring, loving, understanding man who loved his family and worked very hard to provide for them. He worked for Ameripol Simpol for many years until retirement. Retirement allowed for Walter to do more of the things he enjoyed most in life such as spending quality time with friends and family, enjoying watching his grandchildren play in the yard while he sat on the front porch hearing sounds of playful laughter. Walter was also known to enjoy running a few trot lines and catching fish on Cow Bayou. Gardening and dancing were also some of his favorite things to do, as it kept him active and made him happy. You couldn't be around Walter very long without laughing at one of his comical jokes he enjoyed telling so much. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it and would stop anything he was doing at the drop of a hat to help out a friend or family member in need. Walter was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order Of The Eagles and the Orange Boat Club. He was also known to be one of the best sharp shooters there was when it came to squirrel hunting.

A very special, Thank You, to Best Hospice of Texas, Ryan Anderson and staff.
