Albert M. “Al” Bussell, Jr., age 69, of Sunset Acres passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with Brother Billy Burch officiating at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange Texas. Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home.

Al was born on Sunday,March 20, 1949, in Orange, Texas to parents, Linnie “Lois” (Kelley) and Albert M. Bussell, Sr. He was a resident of the Hartburg/Sunset Acres communities for the majority of his life. Al was a very loving, goodhearted man who loved his family dearly.His grandchildren were the light of his life. Al was considered the designated “cooker” and one of the founding members, along with his wife Debbie, of a group called The Honey Doo’s. This was a group of close family and friends that held numerous benefits over the years to help families fund raise to pay for funerals and/or medical expenses for their loved ones. Being able to help those in need was what he enjoyed doing and he never turned anyone away. In his free time, he enjoyed the company of his friends playing cards, watching any motor sports(but NASCAR was his favorite), or catching whatever game was on at the time. His favorites to watch, of course, were the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys.Al was a husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Al is preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Deborah Nan Bussell; parents,Linnie "Lois" and Albert M. Bussell,Sr.

Al is survived by his daughters, Becky Stanley and her husband Darrell of Sunset Acres, and Ashlei Bussell of Orangefield; brothers, David Rodney Bussell, Randy Bussell and wife Terry, and Don Bussell and wife Sharon; sisters, Brenda Bendo and husband LeeRoy, and Van Taylor; grandchildren, Nathan Stanley, Masey Stanley, Bailee South, Abigail Stanley, and Brynlee South.

Pallbearers include Brandon Bussell, Bobby Bussell, Corey Hanks, Devin Bussell, Roy Bussell, Ed Bean, Delton Haley, and Tommy Lee.

Honorary pallbearers include James Wilson, Jerry Moore, Tom Rooney, Chyenne Bussell, Tyler Bussell, Jody Bussell, Jeremy Hanks, and Trey Bussell.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can personally be made to the family.
