Baby Rexton Drake Hopson, 8 weeks old, went to be one of God's Angels on Friday, June 9, 2017 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Seth Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery in Starks, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home. 

Rexton was born on April 11, 2017 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Dakota Shay Barlow and Vernon Jacob Hopson. 

He is preceded in death by paternal great grandfather Robert Hulen Hopson and maternal great grandmother Carol Ann Barlow.

Survivors include his parents, brother Easton Cade Hopson, his two sisters, Zoey Rayne Hopson and Emerlie Blair Barlow all of Starks, LA. Paternal grandparents, Randy and Vickie Hopson of St. Augustine, TX and maternal grandparents Shane Barlow of Starks, LA and Carol Hollingsworth and Chad Johnson of Vinton, LA. Paternal great grandparents, Vernon and Laura Payne of Starks, LA and Glenda Hopson of St. Augustine, TX. Maternal great grandparents James Barlow of Starks, LA Sue Fisch of Starks, LA and Ricky and Becky Johnson of Vinton, LA. His two uncles, Randall Hopson of St. Augustine and Dustin Hopson of Starks, LA. Three cousins, Myles Hopson of Starks, LA, Ryliegh Hopson of St . Augustine, TX and Kasen Hopson of St. Augustine.

Pallbearers will be Dustin and Randall Hopson. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Hopson, Shane Barlow and Chad Johnson.
