Barney Edward Fox

Barney Edward Fox, age 80 of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Barney was born on December 20, 1938 in Lee, Florida to Nancy Ann Ezell Fox and Barney Fox. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Barney retired after working for over 30 years in the shipbuilding industry. He worked with many local companies including Cajun Marine. Barney married his best friend, Anita on August 5, 1960 in Houston, Texas and the couple enjoyed almost 59 years of marriage. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends.

Barney is preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Nancy Fox, brothers; Hubert W. Fox, Tommy Tippens, William Sylvester Fox, Albert Fox and John David Fox and sister Jenny M. Watson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Anita Fox of Bridge City, TX, daughters, Melody Gale Fox of Bridge City, TX and Holiday Dawn Fox Guillory of Iowa, LA and son Barney Edward Fox, Jr. Three grandchildren; Joshua Edward Henry, Caleb Paul Clark and Colby James Martin and his wife Haley. Great grandchildren; Falynn Henry, Rylee Jo Martin and three others. Brothers; Howard Fox of Jacksonville, FL, Billy Eugene Fox of Bartow, FL, Perry Oneal Fox of Virginia and Clyde Haven Fox of Georgia. Sister, Sally Jordan of Bartow, FL.

The family would like to extend a "Special Thank You" to Chaplain Holden, Pastor Paul Zoch and the staff of Heart of Texas Hospice for their wonderful loving care that was given to Barney.

Barney will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
