Brenda Gail (Chapman) Rodgers

Brenda Gail Rodgers, 61, of Orange, Tx passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019.  She was born on June 7, 1958 to Ella Verna and Joel Clovis Chapman in Orange, Tx.  Brenda was a homemaker and a great wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and a new great grandmother.  She enjoyed talking to family and friends, spending time with family at home or at the lake, and even the occasional boat ride.  She loved her pets, making crafts, and watching scary movies with the A/C thermostat set low.  Brenda will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her; she had a kind heart and never met a stranger.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Ella Verna and Joel Clovis Chapman; and a brother, Thomas Joel Chapman, II.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael G. Rodgers; sons, Chad Premeaux, and wife, Farrah, of Orange, Tx, Kevin Rodgers, and wife, Lydia, of Orange, Tx, Stephen Rodgers, and wife, Ashley, of Orangefield, Tx, and Corey Rodgers, and wife, Rachell, of Orange, Tx; 10 grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister, Beverly Chapman Gillingham, of Orange, Tx; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Chapman, of Houston, Tx; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home.  A Life Honoring Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow immediately at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, Orange, Tx.

Serving the Family as Pallbearers will be Justyn Myers, Austin Johnson, Michael Dupuy, Johnathon Hughes, Fred Doucet, and James Doak.  Honorary Pallbearers will be  Thomas Chapman III, Kenneth Williams, William Rodgers, Cole Rodgers, and Cameron Rodgers.
