Clifford Gene Fitts

 Clifford Gene Fitts (Tall Boy) 86, of Deweyville, TX went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, June 10, 2019.  He was born in Neuville, TX on Wednesday, May 31, 1933 to Levi & Neva Fitts. Gene served his country honorably and faithfully in the U.S Navy for 4 years as a cook. He worked as a pipefitter for Texaco for 36 years in Port Arthur, TX before retiring October 1, 1988. He and his beloved wife moved to Toledo Bend after his retirement to do what he loved best, bass fishing; they would live there for 25 years before coming home to Deweyville to be closer to his loving family. He always enjoyed grocery shopping and cooking for his lovely bride and family to enjoy. 

 Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Neva Fitts; and his sister, Melba Clark.

 Left to cherish his loving memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Fitts; a daughter, Pamela Taylor, and husband, Jeffery Taylor of Deweyville; two sons,  Mark Fitts, of Mauriceville, and Russell Fitts, and wife, Kelly Fitts of Deweyville; grandchildren, Michelle & Julia Rodriguez, Stacy & Keith Bean, Jeremy & Misty Clippa, Curtis & Kathrin Fitts, Nicole and Alex Fitts, Jonathan Longmire, Dave and Diana Trove, and Leno; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; as well as other family member and friends.

The Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 4;00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Chapel at Dorman Funeral Home.
