Ernest Grimes

Ernest Grimes, age 76 of Orange, Texas passed away at his home on Friday, June 21, 2019. A private memorial service will be held by his family on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 to honor his life.

Ernest was born on August 11, 1942 in Screven, Georgia to Ada pool Grimes and James Grimes. He graduated from Turkey Creek High School  in Turkey Creek, Florida in 1960. Ernest proudly serviced in the United States Army and attended college. Ernest worked his whole life as a machinist and millwright  in the petro chemical industry. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ernest loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ada Grimes, daughter Doris Marie Bean, brothers; Alvin Grimes, Horace Grimes, Buck Grimes and Willie Grimes and sister Ethel Grimes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Bernice Grimes of Orange, Texas, sons, Robert Paul Bean and his wife Kathy of Orange, Texas and Patrick Lynn Bean of Orange, Texas, brother Robert Grimes and his wife Ruth of Plant City, FL, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
