Evelyn Darlene Burgess Klinkhammer

Evelyn Darlene Burgess Klinkhammer, age 85 of Orange, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Orange. Services to honor Evelyn's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Orange. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Evelyn was born in Timpson, Texas on July 27, 1934 to Maggie Lee Patrick Seago and Belton W. Seago. She graduated from Little Cypress High School and was a member of the basketball team. Evelyn worked for many years as a bookkeeper with Campbell & Taylor Gas & Oil Company. She was a faithful member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Evelyn enjoyed teaching  Sunday School and loved to sing in the church choir. She also loved to work in her beautiful flower beds.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Belton and Maggie Seago, her first husband and father of her children, LT Trahan, her husband Chester Burgess, son James Michael Trahan and her brother Buncy B. Seago, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband John A. Klinkhammer, III of Orange, TX,  four daughters; Gloria Joan Briggs of Port Arthur, TX, Evelyn Jean Busby and her husband James of Orange, TX, Lorrie Ann Trantham and her husband Bobby of Orange, TX and Karen Lynn Sanders of Orange, TX, daughter-in-law Cindy Trahan of Vinton, LA, sister Patsy Y. Glisson of Orange, TX, stepchildren John Klinkhammer IV and his wife Mary of Orange, TX and Silveira and her husband Robby of Orange, TX, sixteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers to honor Evelyn will be Henry Boatright, Brandon Trahan, Joseph Trantham, Christopher Briggs, Luther Sanders, Jason Briggs, Mike Trahan and Shaun Trahan.
