Freddie Doucet, Jr., age 60 of Orange, Texas passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Jim Sichko officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 9:00 PM with a 6:00 PM rosary service on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Freddie was born on August 24, 1956 in Crowley, Louisiana to Edith Romero Doucet and Freddie James Doucet, Sr. Freddie moved to the Orange when he was seven years old. He worked as a welder with TDI Halter and American Bridge in the Orange area. Freddie was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  There was no prouder pawpaw of his grandchildren than Freddie.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Sr. and Edith Doucet, and two sisters, Ruby Breaux and Juanita Cart.

Survivors include his three children; Shawntaul Thompson and her husband James of Orange, TX, Dominque Hogan and her husband Lewis "Bubba" of Orange, TX and Freddie James Doucet, III and his wife Rachel of Orange, TX. Two brothers; Michael Doucet Sr. of Port Neches, TX and Troy Doucet of Orange, TX. Three sisters, Elaine McDaniel and her husband Keith of Bridge City, TX; Jennifer Wright and her husband Randy of Orange, TX and Tammy VanWinkle and her husband Richard VanWinkle of Orange, TX. The mother of his children, Mary Doucet of Orange, TX. As well as six grandchildren that he adored and lived for; Kevin Thompson, Drake Thompson, Savannah Thompson, Olivia Hogan, Dalton Hogan and Kinsley Doucet.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cart, Timothy Cart, Wes Flores, Sam Cart, Michael Doucet Jr. and Louis Williford.
