Glenda Faye Gros, age 68, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
Glenda was born on Monday, February 20, 1950, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to parents, Ethel (Crochet) and Shelby Thibodeaux. She had been a longtime resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Lake Charles, Louisiana 45 years ago. She graduated from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles. Glenda met the love of her life when she came to know Kenneth Gros. The two were married on the 28th of December in 1968. The couple shared 50 blissful years together. She was a very loving, good hearted woman who loved her family dearly. Glenda worked all her adult life at WalMart until retirement. She was an excellent caretaker and always did so with ample love. When she was younger, she liked to go bowling as well as fishing and camping with her husband and children. Glenda also used to love to garden flowers and vegetables and had a wonderful variety of both each year. She truly had a green thumb. Glenda was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Glenda is preceded in death by her father, Shelby Thibodeaux as well as her brother, Richard Thibodeaux.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth Gros; son, Kevin Gros and Stephanie Foux of Vidor, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Gros and wife Leah Fuselier of Sulphur, Louisiana; brother, Steve Thibodeaux; sister, Jan Singer and husband Rick; grandchildren, Sheyenne Nobles, Kody Gros and Hunter Gros Fuselier.
