James D. McCollough, age 75 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Houston, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PMon Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.

James was born in Leesville, Louisiana to Leona Shaw McCollough and JW McColllough. James worked in the oil industry as an engineer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to go fishing. James proudly served in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sons; James Charles McCollough, Joseph Benjamin McCollough and Jason McCollough, and a brother Douglas Eugene McCollough.

Survivors include his two sisters; Betty McCollough Wakefield and Patsy McCollough Tynes. Nine grandchildren; Jennie McCollough, Justin McCollough, Jerod McCollough, Jamie McCollough, Cheyenne McCollough, James McCollough, Jessie McCollough, Jordan McCollough and Ashley Bourque Lanclos. Cousin, Roy McCollough .
