James Plass Vercher, Sr. age 61 of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at his home. Friends and family will gather for a memorial service at 4:20 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at JC Tobacco, 18427 Hwy 62 S. Orange, TX 77630 with Cody Jenkins officiating. Dorman Funeral Home is providing arrangements.

James was born in Groves, Texas on Friday, January 4, 1957 to Hazel Janise Vercher and Dempsy Vercher. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominos with family and friends. James also loved taking motorcycle rides.

He is survived by his soul mate, Mary Berwick, five sons; James Vercher, Jr., Christopher Vercher, William Harvey, Albert Harvey and Damian Vercher. Four daughters; Brandy Vercher, April Vercher, Jessica Blanchard and Mary Vercher. One sister, Mary Vercher Perez and numerous grandchildren.
