Red was born in Orange, Texas on November 12, 1947 to Evelyn Micheel Wilson and Lewis Wilson. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star. After his return to Orange, he began working with Printpack. Red has spent the last 47 years with Printpack as a Process Technician . According to his coworkers he was one of the most intelligent and dedicated employees to work in the plant over the past half century.
Old Red meant many things to many different people but for so many of us we can agree that he was a source of unwavering support. For his family at Print Pack and yes you are his family you could always count on him. To his family he was always faithful. To his three sons he was a savior.
They don’t make men like ole Red anymore. He is one of a dying breed. He required absolutely nothing extravagant in life. He didn’t need the newest truck on the road, didn’t need the bass boat that we all love. Just a bag of Levi Garrett, gas money to get to work and a good television to watch the Cowboys on.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Evelyn Wilson and two brothers, Henry Wilson and Joe Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Cindy Wilson of Orange, TX, three sons; Scotty Wilson and his wife Angie of Orange, TX, Wayne Guidry and his wife Julie of Longview, TX and Michael Guidry of Orange, TX, brother Duck Wilson and his wife Susan of Orangefield, TX, two sisters, Nita Douglas and Faye Gibbons and seven grandchildren; Roland Guidry, Scotty Wilson, Jr., Ruby Wilson, Sydney Guidry, Roman Guidry, Zach Wellons and Dylan Gruber.
Pallbearers honoring Red will be; Joe Stidham, Bubba Sanchez, James Harrison, Don Bussell, Warren Brister and Will Peck
The Wilson family would like to give a "Special Thank You" to his 40's club for their incredible support and held.
