John Malcolm "Mack" Reeves, 67, of Orange, Texas,passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Dorman Funeral Home; Brother Larry Doucet officiating. Rite of Committal will be held at 4:00 PM, following the funeral service at Morse Cemetery, in Buna, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home.
Mack was born on Friday, February 10, 1950, in Orange, Texas, to Marlene (Richardson) and Jesse Reeves. He was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas, where he and his wife of 45 years, Kristy (Stewart), raised their beautiful family. Mack loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who all knew him as their “Pawpaw” and someone they could always count on. Mack was the true definition of an outdoorsman. He enjoyed being out in his boat, fishing, deer hunting at the lease, tinkering outside in his woodshop, and tending to his vegetable garden. Mack was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who will be missed by all those who knew him.
Preceding Mack in death are his parents.
Those who will cherish Mack’s memory most are his wife, Kristy Reeves; daughter, Candace Lawrence and husband, James; son, Chad Reeves and Jennifer Rives; sisters, Diana Reeves and Wanda Callahan; brother, JC Reeves; grandchildren, Lauren Reeves, Mallory Reeves, John Lawrence, Christopher Reeves, Ian Lawrence, Presley Rives, and Keaton Rives; great-grandchild, Jace Cooper; and numerous members of extended family, and friends.
Honoring Mack as Pallbearers are Don Wilson, Larry Glindy, Robert Hopson, Tommy Williams, William Lee, and Rodney Rhodes.
