Lester Carl Wilbur

Lester Carl Wilbur, age 64 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Orange, Texas. A memorial service to honor Lester's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Bickham officiating. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service for a visitation.

Lester was born in Houston, Texas on August 30, 1954 to Wanda Lynn Cassel Wilbur and Allison "Tex" Wilbur. He moved to Deweyville, Texas in 1970 and made it his home for 49 years. Lester retired in 2005 from Little -Cypress Mauriceville ISD. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always attending their sports games and dance recitals. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motor cycles.

Lester is preceded in death by his wife Brenda May Wilbur, son Michael Shane Wilbur and brothers, Wayne Wilbur and Ronnie Sharp.

Survivors include his son,  Daniel Keith Wilbur and his wife Ashley Brooke, grandchildren; Brenlea Michelle Rogers, Ember Elizabeth Wilbur and Daniel "Cole" Wilbur, sisters; Audrey Gibson and her husband Larry, Terresa Martin and her husband Tim and Judy Wilbur, sister-in-laws; Betty Kay Johnson, Glenda Tompkins, Melita Holden and her husband Timmy, Janice Tompkins, Jean Rogers, and Dana Wilbur, brother-in-law, Preston Johnson and his wife Sandra and nieces and nephews; Jerry Sharp, Robert Sharp, Matthew Tompkins, BJ Tompkins, Jody Tompkins, Jesse Tompkins, Steve Tompkins, Jeremy Johnson, Jenny McMahon, Jana Tadlock, Tomas Gipson, Liz Foster, Debbie Lambright, Clarence Ray Tompkins, Terresa Tompkins, Tonja Brewer, Tammy Broadway, Tamitha Flora, Shawn Holden, Leanne Holden, Jonathan Holden, Heath Green, Chuck Green, Angie Johnson, Machell Tompkins, Michelle Davis, April Sharp, Mike Wilson, Herbie Wilson, Joseph Wilson and Steve Wilson.
