Margaret Carol Wofford

Margaret Carol Wofford, age 74, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Funeral services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 2:00 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home, in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. at Dorman Funeral Home. Interment will follow funeral services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Orange, Texas.

Margaret was born on Saturday, January 29, 1944, in Pineland, Texas, to parents, Rosie Lee (Barthol) and Leon Lewing. She had been a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas. She was a woman who was full of life and loved her family, and friends. Margaret's children and grandchildren were very close to her heart. She enjoyed going to the casino and gambling, as well as bingo. When she could, she would go have a few beers and listen to good old country music. Margaret truly enjoyed life to the fullest and lived her life how she wanted to. She will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Lee and Leon Lewing and several brothers and sisters.

Margaret is survived by her children, Mike and wife Sonya of Orange, Texas, Julie Babington and husband Ronnie, SR. of Devils Pocket, Texas, Mary Jane Hiner and husband Bobby of Starks, Louisiana, Theresa Whitfield and husband Craig of Orange, Texas and Leslie LeJeune and husband Rusty, JR. of Starks, Louisiana; brothers, Chubby Lewing and Robert Lewing; sister, Rhonda McMullen; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers honoring Margaret are Brandon Hiner, Ronnie Babington, JR., Terry Sherman, Kerry Godeaux, Richard Hofftauir and Wesley Higginbotham. Honorary pallbearer is Daniel Whitfield.
