Megan Kylean Smith, 24, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Beaumont, Texas. 

Megan was born on December 9, 1992, in Jasper, Texas, to parents Melissa Collins and Kyle Dod Smith.  She was a Christian woman, who attended The Cowboy Church, in Orange, Texas.  Megan was a homemaker and a loving mother to her two beautiful children.  In her spare time, Megan loved to sing and write poetry.  She also enjoyed barrel racing. 

Proceeding Megan in death are her maternal grandparents, Pamela Springer and Les Springer, and Joseph McCormack; and paternal grandfather, Kenneth Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory most are her mother, Melissa Collins and her husband, John, of Orange, Texas; father, Kyle Dod Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; children, Skyla and Rylan Hand, of Orange, Texas; brothers, Tyler Smith of Bridge City, Texas, and Ryan Burke, of Orange, Texas; uncles Terry McCormick and his wife, Kay, of Mauriceville, Texas, and Joseph McCormick, of Austin, Texas; and numerous members of extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

A memorial service for Megan will be held at 1:00 PM, on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the First Church of the Nazarene, in Orange, Texas.  Cremation arrangements handled by Dorman Funeral Home.
