Melvin Bergeron

Melvin Joseph Bergeron, age 83, of Buna, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Pine Arbor Nursing Home in Silsbee, Texas. Graveside services, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cormier Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Melvin was born on Thursday, September 13, 1934, in Vinton, Louisiana to parents, Doris T. Bergeron and Adam J. Bergeron. He was a lifetime resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Vinton, Louisiana 63 years ago. Melvin met the love of this life when he met Elaine. Together they shared 64 blissful years of marriage. He was a goodhearted, Christian man who loved to hunt and fish every chance he got. If there was a body of water somewhere, Melvin would find it and at least attempt to catch a good few fish. He also loved to play the guitar and was even in a small band with his brother when they were much younger and they would play at lots of dances and events of that nature. Melvin will be forever loved and missed by everyone that knew him.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Adam Bergeron; brother, Nolan Bergeron and sister, Helen.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elaine Bergeron; brother in law, Delton Anthony and 4 wonderful nieces.
