Raymond “Ski” Anthony Zalewski, age 94 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Sinclair officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dorman Funeral Home on  Monday, November 13, 2017.

Ski was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 12, 1923 to Mary Subzda Zalewski and Adolph Zalewski. He graduated from Davis Tech High School in Grand Rapids. Ski spent a year attending the Conservation Core before joining the United States Navy. Ski served his country for eleven years and met his precious wife Estelle at a USO dance. Together the couple made their home in Orange, Texas in 1946. Ski retired from Schulman Inc. after 39 and ½ years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Estelle Noguess Zalewski and his parents.

Survivors include his sisters, Marlene Alflen of Grand Rapids, MI and Eleanor Thomas of Zephyr Hills, IL.
