Richard Clay Sneed, age 68 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 trying to help others during the disaster of Harvey. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Apostolic Church in Starks, Louisiana on Wednesday, September 13th 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jeremy Shields officiating.

Richard was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 23, 1949 in an ambulance (a story he loved to tell) to Edna Mae Guidroz Sneed and Henry Clay Sneed, Jr. He worked for the family ship yard as a general ship fitter. He was one of the best and built some amazing tugboats. Lifelong resident of orange tx, he decided to move to Deweyville about ten years ago to live a more stress- free, relaxing country life.  Richard enjoyed fishing and collecting guns and knives. He loved spending time outdoors, being with his family & friends and having cookouts.  He had a heart of gold and always tried to help those in need! He will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
