Richard Gayle Trumps

Richard Gayle Trumps, age 69 of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. Services to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday November 18, 2018 at 9th and Elm Church of Christ with Larry Askew, Del Douget and Ray Hyatt officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Sulphur, Louisiana on January 5, 1949 to Lucille Trosclair Trumps and John Trumps. He spent 25 years as a minister in the Church of Christ. Before the ministry, he exercised his love for speaking and entertaining as a radio disk jockey and as a ringside announcer at professional wrestling matches. In his 30s, both he and his wife Danya went to college and got their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degrees, and he went on to obtain a masters degree, graduating Summa cum Laude. He served as the social worker in nursing homes, and briefly as nursing home administrator.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Danya Kolb Trumps and his parents John and Lucille Trumps.

Those left to cherish Richard's memory are his children; Richard Lynn Trumps, Terry Gene Trumps, Alicia Christina Dawn Gibson.
