Robert Elmer Cummings

Robert Elmer Cummings, SR., age 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Baptist Hospital, in Beaumont, Texas. Arrangements, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.

Robert was born on September 11, 1928, in Seattle, Washington, to parents Gladys (Gray) and Eugene L. Cummings, SR. He had been a resident of Louisiana and Texas since 1956, after completion of Military Service. He was also an American Soldier in the United States Navy as well as the Unites States Air Force. In his lifetime he was a carpenter and helped work on building a lot of the historical construction in Old Orange, Texas. He was an Engine Mechanic for Boeing Aircraft where he retired in 1991. Robert was a very loved man who will forever be missed by all who knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Juanita Ruth Smith Cummings,  parents, Gladys (Gray) and Eugene L. Cummings, SR; son, Charles E. Cummings, SR.; brother, Eugene L. Cummings. JR.; sister, Joan McGuire; grandchildren, Chad Cummings, Kirby Cummings, JR. and Anson Guillory.

Robert is survived by his children, Deborah Tripp and husband Gary, SR. of Orange, Texas, Donna Guillory and husband Andy, SR. of Orange, Texas, Dixie Miller and husband William of Spurger, Texas, Dietra Shaver of Orange, Texas, Robert Cummings, JR. and wife Sabrina of Livingston, Texas and Kirby Cummings, SR. and wife Georgie of Orange, Texas; 19 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren.
