Ronald Droddy

Ronald Droddy, age 67 of Hartburg, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at his home. Services to honor Ronald's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alfred Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Sutton Cemetery in Honey Island.  Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home.

Ronald was born on March 1, 1951 in Vidor, Texas to Verla Mae Storms Droddy and Joseph Algar Droddy. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years as a crane operator and was a member of the Local 195. Ronald enjoyed playing guitar, piano , singing country and gospel. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking etouffee and boiling crawfish with family and friends.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Verla Droddy, brother Michael Joseph Droddy and sister Carolyn Sue Droddy.

Survivors include his wife Jeanette Droddy, brother Donald Droddy and his wife Connie, daughters Diedre Read and her husband Jason and Darcie Droddy and step-daughters;  Lynette Howerton and her husband Joe, Sheila Gillespie and her husband Eric, Regina Williams and Beth Buckner. Four grandchildren; Kaylynn Reaves, Carly Laughlin, Coy Laughlin and Zachary Read, six step-grandchildren; Cole Howerton, Courtney Chavez, Crista Stewart, Erica Gillespie, Michael Mitchell and Justin Williams and four step-great grandchildren; Gabriel Howerton, Kane Chavez, Clark Howerton and Nolan Chavez.

Pallbearers will be Cole Howerton, Michael Mitchell, Justin Williams, Zachary Read, Coy Laughlin, Beau Stewart, Eric Chavez and Jonathan Smith.He HHh
