Rudolph Val Tinney, Jr., 71, of Orange, TX passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019. Rudy was born on October 17, 1947 to Rudolph Val and Lelia Ann Tinney in Kerrville, TX. He served his country faithfully and honorably in the U.S. Navy, and then went on to a career in the construction industry. In May of 1993, Rudy married the love of his life, Linda and they had almost 26 years of marriage; he often said that “she made his life better.” He helped raise her two children as his own and they loved him as a father. Rudy was a quiet man with a good sense of humor, and was a jokester; according to his co-workers, he was a joy to be around. He also enjoyed coin collecting and loved sports cars; especially driving them!
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Val and Lelia Ann Tinney; a brother, Kim Tinney, and a grandson, Chance Kingen.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife of almost 26 years, Linda Tinney; a son, Dennis Kingen, and wife, Katuscia; a daughter, Kristel Rogers, and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Matteo Kingen, Jonathan Rogers, and Kurtis Rogers; a brother, Tom Tinney, and wife, Rusty; sisters, Ann Vacek, and husband, Carlos, Carla Towson, and husband, Dave, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A Private Memorial Service will be held to honor the life of Rudolph Val Tinney, Jr.
