Shirley Alexander Murphy Obituary

Shirley Tru Alexander Murphy, age 83 of Orange, Texas, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas. Dorman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born in Malakoff, Texas on July 20, 1935 to Lela Scott Alexander and True Alexander. She worked for many years as a registered nurse. Shirley enjoyed baking and sewing. She always having children around, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, True and Lela Alexander, son Randy Fowler and brothers, Robert Alexander and Jimmy Alexander.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula Manning and her husband Arthur of Orange, TX and son Scott Fowler and his wife Cindy of Angleton, TX. Seven grandchildren; William Manning, Brittany Manning, William Ross, April Beniot, Kacey Larkin, Joey Pantalion and Misty Jaminson, as well as seventeen great grandchildren.
