Yolanda Diaz de Leon, age 94 of Orange, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2018  at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joseph P. Daleo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church. Dorman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Yolanda was born in Laredo, Texas on November 4, 1923 to Josefina Gonzalez Roel and Jose Garcia Roel. She graduated from Martin High School in Laredo and attended business college. Yolanda had been a long time resident of Orange and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Mary’s Alter Society and a former eucharistic minister. She retired from Sears from the catalog department and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Benjamin Diaz de Leon, parents and several siblings.

Survivors include her son, Ben Diaz de Leon of Wildwood, MO. Two daughters, Brenda Hearn and her husband Daren of Bridge City, TX and Belinda Flippen  of Missouri City, TX and a brother Virgilio G. Roel and his wife Guera of Austin, TX. Nine grandchildren; Adam Diaz de Leon, April Accurso, Aaron Diaz de Leon, Amy Diaz de Leon, Andrew Diaz de Leon, Morgan Day, Jessica Hearn, David Hearn and Megan Plant. Three great grandchildren; Loriana Accurso, Luke Plant and Daniel Plant.
