Angela Ruth Smart

Angela “Angie” Ruth Smart, age 57 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. A graveside service to honor Angela will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas with Rev. John Fortenberry officiating.

Angie was born on April 21, 1964 in Orange, Texas to loving parents, Virginia Ann Patillo Smart and Daniel Lee Smart who cared for her at the home the majority of Angie’s life. We would also like to honor Opal Cain Smart for her loving care of Angie and Sharon Wilkerson for helping while Angie was in the nursing home.

Angie enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, but was not happy with commercial interruptions. She had a very loving spirit, wanting hugs and kisses from family and friends whenever they were near. But she would also give a pinch or two if necessary. We will miss that beautiful smile and Smart sense of humor. No more pain, only peace and love did she take with her. Until we meet again, our darling sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Virginia Smart.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings; Kelly Smart and his wife Annette of Deweyville, TX, Lee Smart of Conroe, TX  and Dana Wilbur of Deweyville, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
