Bettie Louise Ashworth went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2021 at age 87 after a battle with cancer. Services to honor Louise will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. Damon Bickham officiating. Interment will immediately follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Louise was born to Milton and Grace Kirby on March 24, 1934.in Hartburg, Texas. She was a strong and independent woman who loved her family, reading, doing puzzles and working outside. She was a lifelong member of Hartburg Baptist Church.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Ednar Ashworth, her parents, Grace Helen Brown Kirby and Milton Alonzo Kirby, brother, Milton Kirby and sisters; Evie Linscomb, Dorothy Williams and Helen Honeycutt.
Louise leaves behind her children: Fred Ashworth and Betty Adkins (Joe), sisters, Mahalia Tynes and Nora Bergeaux, grandchildren: Traci Hanks (Monty), Kara Adkins, Chelsea Parker (Michael), Rachel Ashworth (Michael), Jacob Ashworth (Shawna) and Aaron Ashworth (Madison) great grandchildren: Taylor Thibodeaux (Scotty), Scarlett Ashworth, Graham Parker, Gunnar Ashworth, Jaxson Ashworth, Clayton Ashworth, Archer Ashworth, Bryceton and Baylee, great great grandchildren: Amelie and Ellie Thibodeaux. Special family members: Paula Ashworth, Kathy Welch, Joann Honeycutt and Teri Vincent.
