Betty Lou Arnold

Betty L. Arnold, age 87 of Bridge City, Texas, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Services to honor Betty's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Victoria Cemetery in Florien, Louisiana. Family and friends will gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Betty was born on March 9, 1932 in San Saba County, Texas to Bessie Inez Pierce Winkler and Vess Winkler. Betty was an avid reader, champion puzzle solver when watching her favorite Wheel-a-fortune and enjoyed playing Scrabble with family and friends. Betty especially enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her family was her whole world and she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of all most 60 years, James E. Arnold Jr., father Vess Winkler, step-father James Hammond, mother Bessie Inez Hammond and siblings James Hammond and Brenda Lindsey.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Keith Arnold of Bridge City, TX, Buford Arnold and his wife Karen of Pen Argyl, PA and Lesha Sneed and her husband Robert of Bridge City, TX, sisters Ella Ruth Crofut of Kerens, TX and Beverly Force and her husband Gene of Orange, TX, four grandchildren; Candace Plessala of Bridge City, TX, Robert Sneed, Jr. of Bridge City, TX, Justin Arnold of Pen Argyl, PA and Caitlin Costalas and her husband Stephen of Wind Gap, PA and two cute great granddaughters, Karalina Plessala and Kennadie Plessala of Bridge City, TX.

Pallbearers to honor Betty will be Candace Plessala, Robert Sneed, Jr., Keith Arnold, Buford Arnold and Jerod Guess.
