Betty Mae Delome, age 83, of Orange, Texas, left this world to spend eternity with her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 24, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas, with Brother Mike Sullivan officiating services. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow services at, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.
Betty was born in Segin, Texas on Saturday, January 16, 1937, to parents, Norma (Voss) and Max Herman Dietert. She came to know the love of her life when he met Allen Lee Delome. The couple spent 40 blissful years together and made a lifetime of memories along with their children, Randall and Kathy. In their younger years, the couple enjoyed traveling places but in particular, they loved traveling to Austin, Texas and visiting, Texas School For The Deaf, where they both also attended. Crossword puzzles and playing solitaire or any type of card games were always activities that you could find her partaking in. Betty enjoyed cooking and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was also an avid and proud member of First Christian Church in Orangefield, Texas. When her daughter, Kathy, was young, she enjoyed sewing all of her beautiful clothes for her. Family was always Betty’s main priority, as she loved each of them unconditionally.
Betty was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy Jones and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Ashleigh Garza and husband Adam, as well as, Randall Jones and wife Anna; great grandchildren, Michael Garza, Olivia Garza, Rebecka Jones and Allen Jones; brothers-in-law, James Delome, Leon Delome and wife Marlene, Herbert Delome and wife Rita; sisters-in-law, Audrey Bertrand and Tracy Delome.
Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Allen Lee Delome; son, Randall Alan Delome and parents, Max and Norma Dietert.
Serving as pallbearers are, Russell Delome, Romey Jones, Randall Jones, Adam Garza, Brent Jones and Ryan Jones.
