Betty Jean Lundy

Betty Jean Lundy, age 82 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor CW Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Dorman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born in Crestview, Florida on January  2, 1936 to Flora Idell Leasure Moore and  Herbert Moore. She married her sweetheart Alton Daniel Lundy on February 13, 1952 in Alba, Alabama and were married for 57 years. Betty enjoyed reading romance and western novels, quilting, crocheting, fishing and watching her game shows. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alton Daniel Lundy.

She is survived by her four sons; Eddie Daniel Lundy of Mabank, TX, Gregory Allen Lundy of Palestine, TX,  Alvin Dwayne Lundy of Orange, TX, Derek Lundy and his wife Kathy of Mauriceville, TX. Two daughters, Betty Regina Conway and her husband Dan of Garland, TX and Sheila Teresa Stanley of Orange, TX. Twelve grandchildren; Terry Scott Hanks, Bryan Hanks, Misty Walton, Daniel Scott Conway, Angela Renard, Amanda Richardson, Natasha Lundy, Josh Lundy, Christine Lundy, Erica Lundy, Christopher Shurlz and Farren Lundy. As well as seventeen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randy Walton, Bryan Hanks, Scott Conway, Greg Lundy, Patrick Conway and Brandon Walton.
